Kristian is a very credential kart driver winning multiple title in Australia. In 2002 he won the AKA Australian Junior National Championship on dirt and then moved to circuit karts and won the 2003 CIK/FIA Australian Junior Intercontinental A Championship. In 2004 he bagged two titles in AKA Australian Junior Clubman and CIK/FIA Australian Junior Intercontinental A classes. In 2005 he was the AKA Australian Formula 100 Champion.
he started competing in State level races finishing second in the Victorian [1] and fourth in the New South Wales[2] championships. He then competed in the Australian Formula Ford Championship from 2006 through to 2008 for Borland Racing Developments (2006–2007) and Sonic Motor Racing Services (2008). Over the 3 years he won 6 races, 28 podiums, 3 pole positions and 4 fastest laps.
In the 2009 and 2010 seasons he had showings in Formula 3 on three occasions with limited success due to a lack of testing laps prior to races.
In 2011, At the Darwin round of V8 Supercars whilst working for Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport, a car capable of race wins became vacant. Kristian took the opportunity with both hands coming up with some sponsorship money and called on a big favour from a Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport team sponsor to pay for his tyres and called on each team member to chip in $50 each for fuel. Fifteen minutes before the first qualifying session Kristian fronted with his helmet and the money, sat in the car for the first time, and the first time in 14 months he drove out of the garage in a formual car and finished the session in 1st place. He then went on to win the inaugural City of Darwin Cup.[3]
On the 2nd and 3rd of December 2011, he will test for the Tech 1 Racing in Jerez, Spain. [4] He hopes to attract the attention of potential teams and sponsors. [5] [6]
Kristian made a successful test debut with Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport in August 2011. He completed 25 laps at Winton Motor Raceway and posted times competitive to current V8 Supercar competition.
In September 2011 he tested for Walkinshaw Racing at Winton.[7]
